WINDWARD DESALINATION PLANT
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Following the devastation of Hurricane Beryl, RISE GRENADA, with the support of our generous donors and partners, is building a desalination plant and community clean water filling station in Windward, Carriacou. Windward, a small fishing and boatbuilding community on the northern tip of Carriacou, was severely impacted by the storm. The new station will provide much-needed access to fresh water for drinking and sanitation, crucial for the health and well-being of the residents. We are also grateful for the donations of water reservoirs from Allison Caton of Paradise Beach Club and Tim Garroway of Tim's Beach Bar, which will further enhance our efforts to provide a reliable source of clean water to the community. By ensuring a steady supply of fresh water, we are helping Windward recover and rebuild, while also preparing the community for future challenges.
This project marks the beginning of our ongoing commitment to the people of Windward, but there is still more to be done to fully meet their needs. We need your continued support to sustain and expand these efforts, ensuring that every resident has access to essential resources. Together, we can make a lasting impact and help the community thrive once again.
Join us in this crucial mission. Your donations and support are vital for the continuation of our recovery efforts.
